This is the final week of the Clean Break Exhibit in Philadelphia, PA (Oct 17-30). The exhibit features innovation in pre-fab home design that compliments historical urban context in contrast to the current trends in urban development and construction. “A temporary prefab neighborhood in Philadelphia will offer an optimistic view of what a revitalized city might look like in the near future.” The exhibit features design by many of today’s environmentally conscience Architects and also hosts a series of lectures throughout the city on sustainability, prefab, and affordable housing.

The exhibit is located in Old City and expands on the collection at the Minima Modern Furniture Showroom. So if you’re in the neighborhood please check it out and send me your pictures and comments.

I really want to thank the Red Sox for an awesome season. I will cherish the memories for a long time, especially game 5 of the ALCS, and look forward to the start of the ‘09 adventure. Until then, life goes back to usual, nightly TV watching returns to prime time, going to bed before midnight, less biting my nails and a real opportunity to enjoy Halloween! GO SOX!

(Recap from last night): Tonight’s game 7 will decide the ALCS Champions for the 2008 baseball season and provide the Red Sox with the opportunity to win a third World Series title in five years. The game is scheduled to start at 8:07 eastern time (let’s hope TBS doesn’t have difficulties again tonight). » Read the rest of the entry..

Every now and then I usually try a new kind of drink from my local Whole Foods store. Last month I found Function bottles on the top shelf in the drink isle. I recall watching an interview regarding Function Drinks earlier this summer and how one of the company heads traveled around the country making sure Function labels were visible on every shelf.

I especially enjoy the Brainiac bottle, because it makes me feel smarter just by looking at it. The drinks are made from a variety or organic ingredients, including “kinko biloba leaf extract”, “soy phosphatidylserine” and “red cabbage dye”. There is even a drink called Night Life that promotes “desire, reward, satisfaction and proper circulation”. Just don’t expect it to promote during the morning hours.

Has anyone tried any of the Function Drinks?
